RILEY Beggs, Matt Stone Racing’s viral hit of the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000, is set to join Juncos Hollinger Racing full-time, kicking off with next weekend’s 110th running of the Indianapolis 500.

Hailing from Mackay in Queensland, Beggs kicked off his professional motorsport tour with a work experience gig with Matt Stone Racing at Townsville in 2021.

He shot to the forefront at Bathurst last year with the team, when the “best refueller in pitlane” was spotted with his now famous “straight in, no kissing helmet.”

Now, North America is set to take on board some high-performing Aussie pit work, with the JHR team fielding the cars of Rinus Veekay and Sting Ray Robb.

“The IndyCar opportunity came up through a mate that was in Supercars who flew over early last year to do it,” Beggs told V8 Sleuth.

“I’ve always wanted to go to America to do IndyCar or NASCAR, but I just didn’t know who to ask.

“I got a trial in Milwaukee at their race event, so I flew over.

“It was a great fit, so here we are now.”

Before jetting out, Beggs is taking in one last weekend of Hyundai Excel racing at Queensland Raceway, with his car featuring the now-famous slogan.

“I started in Excels, so it’s really cool to be doing a race before I fly out next week,” Beggs said.

“I’m excited for my first full-time event, being the Indy 500.

“I’ll be like a sponge and try to be on the front foot to learn all the processes they have.

“Very excited to finally be going over there, it’s like a dream come true to be doing this.”
