Donald Trump Jr’s ex-wife, Vanessa Trump, has announced she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
In an Instagram post shared on Thursday, Trump, 48, revealed she had undergone surgery earlier this week and is now working closely with doctors to create a treatment plan.
“I want to share a personal health update. I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer,” she began her statement.
“While this isn’t the news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.
“I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me.
“I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me.
“Thank you for your kindness and support. It truly means more than I can express.
“I kindly ask for privacy as I focus on my health and recovery.”
Vanessa, who is now in a relationship with golfer Tiger Woods, was married to the US president’s eldest son from 2005 until 2018.
The pair share five children: Kai, 19, Donald, 17, Tristan, 14, Spencer, 13, and Chloe, 11.
After sharing her cancer news, Vanessa has been inundated with messages from her loved ones and supporters.
Her former sister-in-law, Ivanka Trump, wrote in the comments: “Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama.”
Despite her 2018 divorce from Trump Jr, Vanessa remains close to the Trump family, and they frequently attend major events together.
Just last week, Vanessa and Trump Jr attended Kai’s graduation, along with Woods and Trump’s new fiancée, Bettina Anderson.
President Trump’s daughter Tiffany was also there to support Kai, alongside her husband, Michael Boulos, at the ceremony and dinner at the Blackbird restaurant in Naples, Florida.
The family appeared in good spirits, with Vanessa and Bettina, 39, seen hugging each other at one point.
Trump Jr announced his engagement to Bettina during a White House party in December, and reports suggest they could get married this weekend.
Vanessa is said to support the marriage, with an insider telling OK! Magazine: “Vanessa thinks Bettina and Don are a great match and fully approves of their relationship.”
Vanessa started dating Tiger Woods in late 2024 after meeting through their children.
The professional golfer, 50, recently spent six weeks at a rehab in Switzerland following his DUI arrest earlier this year.
Woods has pleaded not guilty to a DUI charge after crashing his Range Rover near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida, on March 27.
