Temperatures are expected to rise for the south of the country this weekend, mostly leaving the frosty mornings of this week behind.
Tasmania is set to experience the warmest May on record as partly cloudy conditions remain, with Hobart reaching a high of 17 degrees and a low of 7 degrees.
Victoria may experience a bit of frost across the alpine regions – but it will be very isolated – as temperatures hit single digits earlier in the day and upper teens in the afternoon.
Melbourne will remain dry on Saturday and reach a high of 19 degrees, with an expected low of 8 degrees.
Mostly dry weather is returning across Queensland, with one more day of rough swell and a few showers.
Temperatures will remain in the mid-20s across the coast of Queensland, as well as across the sunny and dry interior.
Brisbane can expect a low of 17 degrees and a high of 25 degrees on Saturday, while Townsville reaches a high of 18 degrees and a low of 15 degrees.
The Gold Coast will reach a high of 24 degrees and a low of 17 degrees, while Rockhampton reaches a high of 29 degrees and a low of 12 degrees.
There is a chance of showers for Uluru and Alice Springs on Saturday, with a high of 20 and 21 degrees, and a low of 10 and 8 degrees respectively.
The Top End’s east-coast could experience a shower or two, with standard temperatures reaching the low 30s.
Darwin will reach a high of 31 degrees on Saturday and a low of 23 degrees.
One more day of coastal showers is expected in New South Wales, as Sydney temperatures hit a low of 16 and a high of 22.
Newcastle temperatures will reach a high of 21 degrees and a low of 15 degrees.
Canberra will experience a chilly low of 5 degrees as clouds thicken across the city, with an expected top of 17 degrees.
Adelaide will feel the cool change that is crossing the south, dropping temperatures to a cloudy low of 13 degrees and a high of 21 degrees.
Western Australia is staying cool, with a high temperature of 19 degrees in Perth and a low of 5 degrees.
Margaret River will reach a high of 18 degrees and a low of 7 degrees, while Albany reaches a low of 10 degrees and a high of 16 degrees.
