Another group of the NFL’s “Top 100” players has been released as the regular season rushes closer and Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is ranked the 33rd best player in the league.
Is he rated high enough? His 1,671 total yards from scrimmage last season suggest he may not be getting enough credit from his peers in the NFL players’ vote for both his versatility and workload.
Jacobs ran for 1,329 yards last season and 15 of his 16 touchdowns were on the ground. However, he also had a career-high 36 catches for 342 yards, averaging 9.5 yards a reception. Those numbers show elite playmaking ability.

More than half of Jacobs’ rushing yards last season were after contact. He was the fourth Packer to rush for at least 13,000 yards in a season. The others are Ahman Green, Jim Taylor and Dorsey Levens.
Jacobs did not appear among the top 100 players prior to the 2024 season, but was ranked the 13th best player in prior to 2023. He joins fellow Packers Jordan Love and Rashan Gary in the 2025 top 100.
