Get a legitimate China number, on one shared SIM card

Visitors to Mainland China would know by now that its amazing digital ecosystem of drone deliveries, online orders, massive promotions, and many other daily functions are all locked behind the requirement of a valid and legitimate China phone number.

StarHub has an amazing deal if you’re in the market for a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. It’s a pity that none of the brochures or banners do this deal any justice.

If you sign up for StarHub’s no-contract S$78/month 5G Unlimited+ Max plan (which consists of unlimited local 5G data, unlimited incoming and outgoing calls+SMS, 20GB global roaming data, and Call Number Display), you gain access to its heavily discounted Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

How heavy? New users pay only S$900 (instead of the original S$1,828 for 256GB) and existing StarHub users pay only S$1,178 for the device. Then, there’s also the option to pay that discounted phone price in 1- or 2-year long installments. The Hi! branding of Singtel has traditionally been a cost-effective connectivity alternative for at short-stay visitors or long-term foreign-import professionals. However, consumer expectations has long evolved since then, and Hi! by Singtel has a very unique, no-contract postpaid telco plan that taps into their old expertise.

New and port-in users get access to a S$20/30-days plan. It comes with 700GB of 5G network access across the ASEAN region (10 destinations), including Singapore and Hong Kong. You read that right, it’s not just local data. It’s quite unthinkable to find a provider linked to a traditional telco to come up with such an interesting and competitive bundle.

This is on top of 36GB of Asia-Pacific roaming, and it even includes China, South Korea, and Japan. For far-flung places, it’s covered under the 10GB worldwide roaming portion of the plan (60 destinations).That’s not forgetting 1,000 of IDD minutes for you to take and receive any international calls (IDD).

New/port-in users signing up at the booth can get freebies like a handheld electric fan and a tote bag, plus a chance to fish prizes out of a jar. As a part of the promotion, the second month of the plan is free.

Honor Magic V6’s pre-registration with more bonuses

In case you missed it, Honor is asking for a S$100 deposit to pre-register for the Magic V6 foldable that’s due for a 4 June 2026 launch. It guarantees a free Honor Magic Pen stylus, just like the original promotion.

However, there’s two important differences if you pre-register at CEE 2026: the Best Denki booth is throwing in “premium mystery gifts”, and you actually get to try the phone first before you commit, since the store has one unit on display.

Limited S$10.80/month regional mobile plan from Eight

Eight (or ei8ht), which runs off StarHub’s network infrastructure, has a no-contract S$10.80/month plan. This gives 528GB of 5G data across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Hong Kong, making it an attractive choice for frequent regional travellers.

Also in the plan is 12GB of Asia-Pacific roaming (8 destinations), 3GB of international roaming (60+ countries), 3,000 minutes of local talktime, 88 local SMSes, and 128 minutes of international (IDD) minutes (20 destinations). Basically, it’s hard to be caught with your proverbial pants down when you make trip out of Singapore, since there’s enough data in just about anyplace on Earth for you to grab a higher capacity, if needed.

All that for S$10.80/month is quite amazing, since it wasn’t that long ago that telcos charged the same amount for 1GB of local data.

As one of the latest premium Android smartphones to earn our Editors’ Choice award, it excites us to see the OPPO Find X9 Ultra going at a better price tag, at CEE 2026. In our original review, we’ve said there’s no doubt that it is an exceptional phone.

Instead of the usual S$2,199 (512GB), it is now S$2,049 (S$150 off). Even the 1TB alternative gets S$200 off. For a brand new premium release to get nearly 10% off, it’s certainly great value for whatever money’s left. There are other bonuses and freebies too if you are willing to tap into its “S$80 payment method discount”.

Unlimited local and roaming 5G data with GOMO by Singtel

At an original S$50/month, GOMO’s special telco plan is going for a promotion S$15 for the first month. However, that’s not why the plan is great.

GOMO’s 5G Global Infinity plan lives up to its name with its unlimited 5G local data and its unlimited roaming data across 50 destinations (5G availability is subject to the destination’s network partner). Also in this plan is 1,500 local minutes/SMSes, 400 international minutes/SMSes, and it’s available to both new and port-in users.
