Game Recap: Jets v Saints
Result: Property Brokers Manawatū Jets (84) are defeated by Mills Albert Wellington Saints (105)
Just like their Rapid League counterparts, the Saints would come out of the gate with a roar. They’d usualise good ball movement and take a 10-0 lead. The Jets wouldn’t let it slip. They’d put on a run themselves and claw it back to only a 2 point deficit. Despite being down 10 in the first quarter, the Jets would storm back to take the quarter for themselves with a 5 point gap. In the second, the points would come for the league’s leading PPG scorer. Elijah Pepper would score 15 points in the second quarter but the other Saints would step up too. Off the bench Carlin was the spark, and alongside Jordan Hunt, the Saints would outscore the home side 35-23 and take the lead back. Pepper would ignite once again in the second half. Scoring an incredible 45 points, he’d keep the Saints in the lead as the Jets would try their best to fight back.

It was a story of one teams’ utter dominance. The Mills Albert Pathways Wellington Saints would come into this match with a seeming vendetta as they’re pour points in while holding the home team Jets to 0 points right up until 1:20 left in the 2nd quarter. At the half, Aubrey Chunga would have outscored the entire Jets roster himself. A few more bucket from the Saints and the game would be out of reach for the Jets.
