With the 2025 NFL season almost here, there are plenty of fans hoping for a Super Bowl run. Some people, however, are fully expecting to see their favorite team at the bottom of the division standings.

As of this Friday, sportsbooks have the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions as the top-five Super Bowl contenders. They’ve been the usual suspects for the past few seasons.
When it comes to the worst teams in the league, there are three in particular that stand out.
The New York Giants could find themselves picking top-3 yet again.

Don’t let our ranking for the Giants fool you, they’ve got some legitimate talent on the defensive line. Brian Burns, Abdul Carter, Dexter Lawrence and Kayvon Thibodeaux are all capable of wrecking an opposing team’s gameplan.

The problem for the Giants is they don’t exactly have an easy schedule. They’ll begin the season with games against the Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers. They’ll also take on the Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions. Of course, they’ll also face the Philadelphia Eagles twice.
If the Giants had a better quarterback situation right now, they wouldn’t be on this list. But do we really expect Russell Wilson to turn back the clock against elite competition? Not really.
The Giants will most likely struggle early and then hand the keys to their offense over to rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.

This season could be disastrous for the Cleveland Browns.

There might be a ton of hype surrounding Shedeur Sanders, but make no mistake, the Browns aren’t ready to contend.
Similar to the Giants, the Browns have an incredibly tough schedule. First off, they have to deal with the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers a grand total of six times. They also have to face off against the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins.

While the Browns may have a few standouts on defense, such as Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward, there isn’t nearly enough firepower on offense. And speaking of the offense, we’re not even sure who’ll be their starter.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski could start Joe Flacco Week 1 if he’s not impressed with Shedeur Sanders or Dillon Gabriel. However, it’s only a matter of time before fans demand that he starts the former Colorado quarterback.
It’s a full rebuild for the New Orleans Saints.

According to Vegas, the Saints are the worst team in the NFL. They have the lowest odds to win the Super Bowl at +30,000. That’s not a huge surprise given their quarterback situation.

Saints head coach Kellen Moore is letting Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough battle it out for the starting quarterback job. The latter was selected by New Orleans with the 40th pick in this year’s draft.
While the Saints have explosive playmakers on offense, like Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, the reality is they don’t have a proven quarterback. It’s tough to win in this league without one.
Besides, the Saints might actually benefit from a rough season. We all know that Arch Manning has a serious connection to Louisiana.
