A plea for appeal has been launched to find two men who stole tools from a Melbourne business.
CCTV footage of the pair shows them rummaging through the business on City Rd in Southbank about 4.20am on April 17.
One of the men is believed to have gained access through an unlocked door before making a call to his accomplice who joined him soon later.
An oil pump and tools valued at about $1000 were stolen from the business before the men drove off in a rideshare car about 5.15am.
“Investigators believe the person behind the wheel of the Toyota may have been a rideshare driver, completely unaware of the burglary,” police said.
The first man is believed to be aged in his 40s with a stocky build, dark hair and a goatee.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black cap with yellow writing, blue jeans, black jumper, black runners and carrying a grey backpack and black duffle bag.
The other man was described as being aged in his 30s or 40s with a medium build, Caucasian appearance, unshaven and with medium build.
“He was wearing a North Face puffer jacket with blue trimmings, a grey hoodie, black jeans, black runners with red laces and carrying a Coles reusable cold bag,” police said.
