Technology infrastructure company Megaport has signed four new artificial intelligence contracts valued at $459 million, as it revealed plans to expand into the booming business of providing access to AI computing power.
The company said it was seeking $825 million in fresh capital to invest in Nvidia chips that would be used to build a “pool” of GPUs to be rented out to customers to process AI queries.
