Aleppo, June 3 (SANA) Ahli Aleppo defeated al-Shabibeh 94-84 in the Final 6 stage of the Syrian Men’s Basketball League on Tuesday evening at al-Shahbaa Sports Hall in Aleppo.
Ahli Aleppo took control early, finishing the first quarter with a 27-12 lead and extending the advantage to 50-36 by halftime.
Al-Shabibeh reduced the deficit to two points at the end of the third quarter, trailing 66-64, before Ahli regained momentum in the final period. New signing Zach Lofton played a key role in restoring the gap as the Ahli team secured a 10-point victory.
The Final 6 competition continues on Tuesday with a Homs derby between al-Karamah and Homs al-Fidaa at Ghazwan Abu Zeid Hall in Homs.
On Wednesday, al-Nawair will face al-Wahda at Naseh al-Alwani Hall in Hama.
