Fullback Tyrell Sloan could become the latest player to depart the Dragons with an overseas club circling his signature.

Without a contract for next season, Sloan is unlikely to remain at the Red V after falling down the pecking order and rarely being used in his primary position since Clin Gutherson moved to the club.

This has seen reports emerge from Code Sports that he is being targeted by the Castelford Tigers in the overseas Super League competition.

Coached by former Dragons assistant coach Ryan Carr, Castleford have already managed to sign Damien Cook and Matt Feagai for the 2027 season.

It is understood that the 24-year-old has also attracted interest from within the NRL.

“I love this club, I’d do anything for the Red V. It’s home for me,” Sloan told the publication.

“I don’t want to leave, but I do know it’s a business. When I do wear that jersey, I just want to wear it with pride.

“I know there’s been a lot of history with myself being in and out of the team each week, but the boys are in a good space and I’m happy to support that whether I’m in the team or not.”

Scoring 49 tries in 86 first-grade appearances, if Sloan departed the Dragons, he would become the fifth member of the roster to leave as the club continues to overhaul their roster.

Jadyn Su’A has agreed to the Parramatta Eels, while front-rower Emre Guler has committed to the Wakefield Trinity for next year.

Meanwhile, the off-contract quartet of Blake Lawrie, Christian Tuipulotu, Hame Sele and Nathan Lawson are also facing uncertain futures and are unlikely to be extended beyond this season.

Unfortunately, he is set to spend the next few weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury that he picked up against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Thursday night.
