EastEnders has teased an explosive reunion for Kat Moon and Zoe Slater in a newly released trailer.
Zoe made a brief return to our screens earlier this year, when it was revealed that she was staying in a flat with Stacey Slater. After narrowly avoiding being discovered by Kat, Zoe admitted she was in trouble and ran away to Spain.
Kat’s husband Alfie Moon vowed to bring Zoe back, but returned alone after struggling to find her. Meanwhile, Kat remained oblivious to her estranged daughter’s predicament – but that’s all about to change.
A new trailer, posted on EastEnders’ Instagram account, has teased the long-awaited “Mother of all Reunions” as Zoe returns to Walford after two decades.

“Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) returns to Albert Square with 20 years of deep-rooted resentment towards her mum Kat (Jessie Wallace), fractured family relationships, and siblings she has never met,” reads the caption.
The clip begins with Kat enjoying the sunshine as she adjusts her make-up in a mirror. Unbeknownst to her, a scowling Zoe soon steps out of a cab into the pouring rain.

The trailer flits between scenes of Zoe stomping through the Square in the downpour, and an upbeat Kat grinning and joking with her family.
Outside the doors of The Queen Vic, the pair finally come face-to-face. Kat’s smile quickly falls and her eyes are filled with shock as she sees her daughter. How will she react to Zoe’s sudden appearance?
Meanwhile, the trailer also features a small cameo from Sharon Watts, hinting at her upcoming return to Walford. Sharon was last seen on screen in April before she jetted off to Australia. Could she be on the next flight home?
EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
