Elizabeth Johnson has been named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Region Coach of the Year.

Johnson, in Year 2 as Princeton’s head coach, led her team to an 18-3 overall record and a share of the Ivy League championship. Her team finished the season ranked as the No. 1 team in the region and the No. 40 team in Division I by the ITA.

In addition to Johnson’s honor, Princeton’s No. 1 single player, Alice Ferlito, was named the Northeast Region’s Most Improved Player. A day earlier Ferlito was named as the No. 1 player in the region after a spring season that saw her go 16-7.
