Collingwood magician Jamie Elliott has had a quiet few weeks but he has largely stood tall in 2025 when it has mattered.

Hugging the south-western pocket, Elliott slotted his 50th goal of the season – a personal-best – with one second remaining in the third quarter to trim Adelaide’s lead to two points.

Nick Daicos had three telling touches of the footy in the lead up to that goal.

The brilliant No.35 has been best-on-ground by some margin.

Elliott’s strike was the Magpies’ first goal since quarter-time, the visitors’ inefficiency in attack keeping the Crows in the hunt.

Collingwood have had Adelaide pinned on the ropes for large stretches but have only succeeded in landing glancing blows.

A grandstand fourth quarter looms.
