Kris Smith has spoken out after his brand ambassadorship with Myer ended after 18 years.
The English model and former footballer, 47, who was previously in a relationship with Aussie singer Dannii Minogue, shared a poignant post to mark the end of an era.

“After 18 years @myer our relationship has come to an end,” he wrote in an Instagram post underneath campaign images and his time at events for the retail giant.
“The fun I’ve had, the places I’ve visited and the people I’ve met will live with me forever, thank you for trusting in me to represent your brand it’s been unreal…. #myer #itsbeenemotional.”
Underneath, Aussie model and The Block star Elyse Knowles commented: “A beautiful journey! I was so lucky to be by your side for a snippet, with ur (sic) constant support ! Lots of love xx.”
Myer also shared a statement with nine.com.au on Wednesday, with a spokesperson stating: “Kris has been a key part of the Myer story for the past 18 years, and we’re proud of everything we’ve built together.”
“His contribution to the brand has been significant, and something we’ll always be thankful for.”
They added that the retail giant is heading in a new direction, saying: “As we enter a new chapter, we’ve evolved our approach to talent moving away from traditional ambassadors, to work with a broader range of Australian talent across individual campaigns.”
Smith, who hails from the UK but is based in Australia, first became a Myer ambassador around 2009.
Other familiar faces who have been ambassadors for the brand over the years, include the likes of Aussie model Jennifer Hawkins, Elyse Knowles, and Rachael Finch.

It comes after Smith, who is married to fitness buff Sarah Boulazeris, revealed he lost his beloved father just last month.
He shared a touching tribute to his late dad as he shared the news with his followers.
“Today we say goodbye to my amazing dad, I can’t thank you for all you gave me, all you taught me and the love I’ve felt…,” Smith wrote.
