True believer Angus Ross wastes no time in getting on with the job after management drops the ball.

Angus Ross has triumphantly returned to Seven less than 3 months after he was unceremoniously dumped by Southern Cross executives, only to be rehired -and promoted- after a management overhaul.

Originally due to commence on July 1st, he already has his feet under the desk in an effort to steady the ship.

A Seven spokesperson told TV Tonight, “Angus felt there was value in returning earlier to support the TV and Streaming team and ensure continuity.”

It’s a move that has been well received by the rank and file, some of whom were in tears when he was sent packing in March after nearly 27 years.

In the topsy-turvy world that is Australian television he was fired, given a redundancy package, put on ‘gardening leave,’ rehired and promoted to Managing Director, Television and Streaming.

He is now responsible for all television and streaming content teams, covering news (previously not under his watch), sport and entertainment, reporting to SCA Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Rohan Lund.

Does that make this a potential Story of the Year or Blunder of the Year by management?
