South Africa will look to make it two Rugby Championship titles in a row as they open their TRC campaign against Australia Wallabies on August 16 at Ellis Park.Â
In spite of the absolute dominance that the Boks have exhibited in rugby union the last few years, it’s easy to forget that the New Zealand All Blacks have dominated most of the past decade. The All Blacks have won six TRC titles since 2015, while the Springboks have won two titles.Â
Wallabies are the only other team to win in the last 10 years. They last won the Rugby Championship in 2015.Â
Which brings us to 2025, and the opening match of the competition between SA and the Wallabies. South Africa is certainly favored, but there are no free wins in Southern Hemisphere rugby.Â
