Since radio stars Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson sensationally left the airwaves after an on-air blow-up earlier this year, rumours have been swirling about who could replace them.
Among the names being tipped for the role is Love Island Australia host Sophie Monk.
News.com.au claimed Sophie was a “frontrunner” for the gig, and has been approached “three times” for the spot but reportedly turned it down.
The glamorous blonde Aussie has now spoken out about the rumours, explaining why a career in radio would be incredible.
“It’s getting paid to talk, and I feel like most of the people around me are like, ‘Can you shut up?'” she told TV Week.

“If I could have a mic full-time, I’d love it.”
But while she would be thrilled to get a permanent radio or podcasting gig, she said she had a lot on her plate right now.
Sophie has popped into the studio on several occasions before, most recently filling in for Will McMahon on the KIIS Network’s national Drive show, Will & Woody, earlier this year.
She has also previously appeared on Triple M and 2Day FM.
Sky News reported Sophie has been approached “three times” for the spot but turned it down.

Back in February, Kyle and Jackie O were in the middle of talking about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest in the UK when Jackie started discussing the stars and how his birth chart apparently influenced his behaviour.
But Kyle was having none of it and thought it was taking up too much airtime.
“I don’t mean to be rude, as I said fascinating, but I don’t think it should be at the detriment of everything else on the show,” he said.
“It’s affecting other things. Your fixation on this has made you almost unworkable.
“You are off with the fairies with this s**t, it’s mental.”
Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson had a major blow up in March, and Jackie has been absent from the airwaves ever since.
Kyle even likened her to a “drug addict” with the way she was obsessing over astrological claims, even though his radio co-host had spoken about addiction issues in the past.
Jackie didn’t return to her usual co-hosting slot after that infamous on-air blow-up, and the ARN Network, which owns KIIS FM, eventually revealed she could no longer work with Kyle.
Her co-host was given two weeks to rectify the issue, but his contract was terminated shortly after that time limit was up.
The move ended the duo’s radio show, which had been on KIIS FM for more than a decade, and also heralded the end of their long-running on-air partnership.
The pair were on a combined $200 million deal with ARN and were meant to stay at the network until 2034.
Both Kyle and Jackie O have since launched separate lawsuits with ARN, which are currently before the courts.
