The Spurs led the New York Knicks by as many as 29 points in Wednesday’s Game 4 and seemed certain to tie the championship series at two games apiece.
Then it all came crashing down — gradually and then suddenly, in Hemingway’s immortal phrase. When it was over, the New Yorkers had pulled off the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history. Their 107-106 victory put them one win away from the Knicks’ first championship since 1973.
