Crvena Zvezda Belgrade is closing in on an experienced addition to its backcourt. According to BasketNews sources, the Serbian powerhouse is nearing an agreement with Chris Jones.
The 33-year-old American-Armenian guard is nearing a 1+1 contract with the club.
Jones is coming off a season with Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he averaged 10.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 20 minutes per game in the EuroLeague.
The veteran playmaker elevated his production in the playoffs, averaging 13.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in the series against Real Madrid.
Jones brings extensive EuroLeague experience after previous stints with Valencia Basket, ASVEL Villeurbanne, and Maccabi Tel Aviv, establishing himself as one of the competition’s most reliable guards.
