David Beckham has shut down a question about his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, amid the ongoing family fallout.
The former England football captain, 51, was joined by his family during the unveiling of his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, including his children Cruz, 21, Romeo, 23, Harper, 14, and his wife Victoria, 52.

The absence of 27-year-old Brooklyn was clearly felt. So much so that a reporter asked David what toll the public fallout had taken on him, which the billionaire shut down immediately.
“To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about,” the star said, according to The Sun.
In an interview with Variety at the same event, he boasted about having “four incredible kids” before saying his family is his priority.
“But we always make time for each other, and we always have. I want Victoria to be the best version of herself, and vice versa,” Beckham said.
“And as busy as we are, our family always comes first.
“That’s our priority, and that’s what makes it work when you’ve been together for so long. Our priority will always be our family.”
As David’s star was unveiled, his family sat in the front row, next to actor Tom Cruise, while Victoria stood proudly beside him, giving him a kiss to congratulate him.
Cruise performed the induction speech for David, with Victoria also speaking at the unveiling in support of her husband.

The footballer opted for a navy blue suit, while Victoria wore a shimmering silver-blue gown.
Romeo, Cruz and Harper joined their parents for a photo, holding hands and smiling as they stood over the star.
Other stars who attended the ceremony included James Corden and Eva Longoria.
Brooklyn has skipped more than just the unveiling this year, with the eldest Beckham son missing every family event since he released his bombshell statement calling out his mum and dad in January.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” he wrote, adding his parents had “controlled narratives in the press about our family” for his entire life.
“The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into,” he wrote.
He also accused his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped”, and took particular aim at his mother, claiming she cancelled making Nicola’s wedding dress “in the eleventh hour” and accused her of hijacking his first dance with his wife.

“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,” he wrote.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
Brooklyn has not commented on the situation since.
