Jury comment
The Glimmer exhibition is a beautifully resolved execution of display, striking for its exquisite colour palette and well-determined circulation, which can be adapted to multiple different environments. It positioned ceramic artist Lynda Draper at the centre of its conceptual development and the result is a stunning symbiotic relationship between installation and the artwork itself – one that you don’t see often. The jury unanimously agreed that Glimmer is a true celebration of Draper’s work, with a level of precision and flexibility that is rare, including display typography that has been skilfully manoeuvred to honour the work and the space the work occupies.
Design statement
Glimmer is a survey exhibition of one of Australia’s most innovative ceramic practitioners Lynda Draper. The design was conceived as a topographic intervention that weaves through 5 galleries at Campbelltown Arts Centre. The exhibition system is comprised of 5 repeating modules that pivot and tesselate to form the display topography.
Glimmer is located in Campbelltown, NSW on the lands of the Dharawal peoples.
