Ariana Grande broke down in tears on stage during a recent Los Angeles concert, a week after her split from Ethan Slater was confirmed.
Grande got choked up as the crowd cheered for her, joking, “You can’t do this to me, because you know what’s going to happen. You know I’m a Cancer.

“Thank you so much for always being such a loving, safe presence in my life,” she continued.
The Thank U, Next singer kicked off her Eternal Sunshine tour this month, her first in seven years.
Through tears, she said she was grateful fans “stood by my side and supported me”.
“I just have so much gratitude,” she said.
Grande ended the emotional moment with another joke, explaining it was her first tour wearing contact lenses.
“It’s so nice to see you for the first time and to be able to connect. It’s so powerful,” she said, calling it “a very overwhelming night”.
Grande’s tears came just days after her split from Wicked co-star Ethan Slater was confirmed by US media, though it had reportedly been kept quiet for several months.
Multiple sources said the actors are still friends and supportive of one another following an almost three-year relationship.

The musician and Broadway star met after they were cast in the hit musical-to-movie adaptation Wicked. Grande played Glinda and Slater starred opposite her as Boq, who was romantically interested in Grande’s character.
The pair were first pictured together in a March 2023 post by their co-star Michelle Yeoh. The timeline around Grande and Slater’s then-rumoured romance, however, sparked controversy as it appeared to coincide with their respective marriage breakdowns.
Grande separated from ex-husband Dalton Gomez in February 2023, while Slater filed for divorce from his wife, Lilly Jay, in July that same year, 11 months after they welcomed their first child.
