Jen Gillett brings a rare combination of on-field legacy, grassroots commitment, and strategic leadership to her role as Vice President of the QRU — underpinned by a distinguished professional career in the property and construction industry.
Jen has spent over two decades with the Brothers Rugby Union Club Women’s Premier Team, becoming Queensland’s — and Brothers’ — first Centurion-capped women’s club rugby player, and only the second in the nation. Named in the Team of the Quarter Century as Co-Vice Captain, she was among the top try scorers in women’s premier grade and wore the #14 wing jersey with distinction from 1996 to 2018.
At Brothers, she developed and launched the club’s first Women’s Elite Development Program and at a state level, created Queensland’s first women’s perpetual interclub challenge — the Aiken-Kairl Cup between Brothers and University of Queensland. Appointed Vice President of Queensland Rugby Union in 2025, she continues to champion participation and pathway for all.
Beyond rugby, Jennifer is State General Manager for JLL Queensland Project and Development Services, with over two decades of experience delivering major infrastructure and community projects — from the Canberra New Airport and Sunshine Coast Airport Redevelopment to Queensland Rail’s Central Station Precinct and Queensland Health’s statewide Community Care Units program.
Her commitment to shaping the industries she loves extends further still. Jennifer serves as Chair of the National Board of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and has held leadership roles across the Property Council of Australia, the Australian Construction Industry Forum, and multiple Queensland Government advisory councils.
