MANILA, Philippines — Eman Bacosa Pacquiao, son of eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, suffered a setback after falling to underdog Rodelyn Perez in their bout for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) lightweight title on Sunday evening at the DRP Sports Complex in Muntinlupa.
Perez pulled off the upset via majority decision, snapping Pacquiao’s five-fight unbeaten streak that dated back to February 2023.
Entering the fight with an 8-1-1 record, including five knockout victories, Pacquiao was favored over Perez, who held a 5-4 slate with wins against Nathaniel Bonggo and Conrado Tanamor.
