Booker will wear No. 15 next season, switching from No. 1, which he had worn since his rookie season.
The decision carries personal meaning, as No. 15 honors his father. It also mirrors a similar move made by Kobe Bryant, who famously changed numbers during his career.
Booker’s strong individual season
Booker once again delivered a strong individual campaign for the Suns during the 2025-26 season.
He played 64 regular-season games, averaging 26.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field. His scoring and playmaking remained the foundation of Phoenix’s offense throughout the year.
However, the Suns’ season ended earlier than expected, as they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Oklahoma City Thunder in a 4-0 series sweep.
Booker has been a part of the Suns for his whole career, 11 seasons, and he’s been named an all-star five times. His most notable performance came on March 24, 2017, when he scored an astonishing 70 points against the Boston Celtics.
