“Madrid has been great, but it’s time,” Lyles said in his Instagram post. “Great experience here. Appreciate you all. I love all the Madridistas.”
In his debut EuroLeague season, Lyles averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 15.1 PIR per game in 42 appearances.
Before joining Real Madrid last summer, Lyles played in 650 NBA games (131 starts) for the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons, and, most recently, the Sacramento Kings.
Over his NBA career, Lyles averaged 7.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 18.4 minutes per game, while shooting 34.7% from beyond the arc.
