According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Celtics emerged from the weekend “with a real shot” to win the trade sweepstakes for Giannis.
“The Celtics managed to emerge from the weekend ‘with a real shot’ to win this race with a Jaylen Brown-centric offer, adding that Milwaukee has considered going ahead with a Boston swap even without a third-team facilitator,” Stein reports.
“If the Bucks indeed choose Boston’s offer over Miami’s, sources say now, Milwaukee ownership’s insistence on getting a bonafide star (Jaylen Brown) back for Giannis would be among the deciding factors … as much as the Bucks want to hold two lottery picks in Tuesday’s draft,” he adds.

Just like in previous reports, the main pieces in Miami’s potential trade package for Giannis remain the No. 13 pick in the upcoming draft, along with Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, and Jaime Jaquez Jr.
The Heat are also prepared to surrender additional draft capital and potentially more players in an Antetokounmpo deal.
Additionally, players such as Nikola Jovic, Pelle Larsson, and Kasparas Jakucionis have been included in potential trade frameworks for Giannis.
There are also frameworks of a three-team trade between the Bucks, Heat, and Pistons mentioned, where Giannis goes to Miami, Milwaukee obtains the likes of Isaiah Stewart, Ron Holland, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jovic, and Kel’El Ware, while Detroit lands Tyler Herro.

The most notable piece that the Celtics would have to deal in a Giannis trade is their star guard Jaylen Brown.
According to Marc Stein, Brown and the No. 27 pick in the upcoming draft are widely presumed to be key pieces in a potential deal.
Stein adds that the Celtics, like Miami, would naturally be asked to add players and future draft compensation to the ultimate trade construction. Sources say that the Bucks have interest in Boston’s prized young Spanish guard Hugo Gonzalez.
