Whoops. Billy Smith goes from hero to zero as he allows the Broncos’ kick-off to bounce in the in-goal, and the ball bounces over Lindsay Collins and goes dead in goal. That’s a dropout, and a grumpy-looking Collins lets Smith know he’s unimpressed (then apologised a moment later).
The Roosters then give away a penalty when Collins’ chest or shoulder smashes into the head of Broncos lock Xavier Willison, who goes down looking dazed. Collins is on report and Willison is off for an HIA.
From the next set Preston Riki is tackled just short of the tryline, then Cory Paix tries his hand with a dive from dummy-half. But he’s held up, and the Broncos hand the ball over on the next tackle.
