Two shows battled for eyeballs on a fairly uneventful Sunday, if not for FIFA World Cup.

At the mid year point audiences routinely consumed TV offerings, but it feels a lot like a Sunday habit rather than enthusiasm.

It was a dual battle on Sunday with Seven’s Farmer Wants a Wife at 979,000 just ahead of Nine’s  60 Minutes on 959,000.

MasterChef Australia pulled 615,000 and from 7:30pm Race Around the World (440,000).

Later 7News Spotlight was 498,000 then The Long Run (391,000) and Watson (203,000).

Seven News was #1 at 1.5m. By 9:30pm the audience was down to 160,000 for 24 Hours in Police Custody.

Nine News was 1.31m with a late edition at 203,000.

ABC News drew 749,000 then Ground Up (319,000), Compass (292,000) and The Capture (152,000).

10 News was 239,000 then 10 News+ (153,000) and FBI (125,000 / 71,000).

FIFA World Cup matches pulled up to 860,000 in daytime then SBS World News (227,000 / 162,000), The Heist: The Louvre’s Stolen Crown Jewels (165,000) and Eiffel Tower: Building The Impossible (160,000).
