The brother of British TV presenter Caroline Flack has passed away at the age of 55.

Paul Flack was found unresponsive at his home in Norwich, in England’s east, on June 21 and later died at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, despite attempts to save him.

It comes just six years after his sibling, who hosted the UK’s Love Island, took her own life.

Following her tragic death, Paul took to Instagram to share a childhood picture of Caroline, writing in the caption: “This will be my last post here. May those who know feel shame for eternity. Love you Caroline.”

The tribute is the final post made on his Instagram account.

Paul, a graphic designer, leaves behind his partner and their two children.

He and his mother Christine and sister Elizabeth appeared in the 2021 documentary, Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death, honouring the star who tragically died on February 15, 2020.

In it, Paul revealed that his late sibling was the first thing on his mind when he woke up every day.

Meanwhile, in one of the many heartbreaking moments within the documentary, their mother admitted that her “biggest regret” was not speaking up during Caroline’s final months, as the family had been warned to stay quiet.

“I think Caroline would be pleased with what I’m doing. I wish I had done it then, before she took her own life, and that’s my biggest regret, that I wasn’t shouting like this, then,” Christine said.

“But now I have nothing to lose. The worst thing in the world happened with losing Carrie.”

Caroline was one of Britain’s most well-known TV personalities, hosting The X Factor, I’m A Celebrity spinoff shows, and of course Love Island, for which she won a BAFTA.

She also starred as Roxie Hart in Chicago in London’s West End.

In the lead-up to her death, Caroline had been dating a former semi-professional tennis player, Lewis Burton.

The pair became embroiled in an argument at her home in London, during which the police were called and Caroline was accused of assaulting him.

Just one day after finding out the case against her would proceed despite Lewis not pressing charges, the TV host was found dead.
