Influencer Nara Smith has confirmed that her two-year-old daughter has cancer and is undergoing treatment.
The 24-year-old content creator opened up about the diagnosis for the first time in an emotional video shared on Instagram and explained late last year Whimsy Lou was diagnosed with cancer.

“There’s no easy way to say this but late last year our daughter Whimsy got diagnosed with cancer,” she said in the video.
Nara opened up about the moment she and husband Lucky Blue Smith first noticed something was wrong with their toddler.
“When we saw something suspicious on her, we took her to the ER and they didn’t quite know what to make of it,” she explained.
“When we took her into our pediatrician, I just remember him going really quiet and calm … My heart dropped in that moment.
“I don’t know whether it was my gut telling me something or just a mom’s intuition, but the first thing that I felt was she has cancer.”
The couple took Whimsy to a children’s hospital for further testing and after X-rays, ultrasounds and a biopsy, they got a diagnosis.
“They immediately called us and said that she had cancer, told us it had spread and that she needs to come and start chemo treatments immediately,” Nara said.
The influencer, who has become popular on social media for her ‘trad wife’ content, said this has been a difficult time for their family and Whimsy has been their priority.

“A lot of you have probably realised that I’ve been posting a little less and this is the reason why,” she added.
“Having found all of this out and navigating this while postpartum, also loving and caring for our other kids at home, also being in the hospital with Whimsy a lot and balancing work on top of that has been really challenging.”
Nara and Lucky are also parents to Rumble Honey, five, Slim Easy, four, and nine-month-old Fawnie Golden. Lucky also has another daughter Gravity, who he shares with ex Stormi Bree.

The Homemade author admitted she struggles “on a daily basis” to find balance.
“Some days are a little easier, some days are really hard, and all I can do is try my best and show up in all those areas in the best way that I can,” Nara added.
She also explained that her intention behind sharing the video was in the hope that it would bring others comfort and for some people, it might push them to get something checked out they’ve been avoiding.

“Thankful for each and every nurse and doctor along our journey who helped us get through and out the other end,” she captioned the post.
The mum-of-four did not clarify where Whimsy’s health currently stands in the video.
Nara and Lucky have been together since 2019.
The couple got engaged that same year, and tied the knot in 2020 before starting to grow their family.
