Milton, Ont. has opened a new training facility for its growing cricket community.
Milton Now reports a dedicated cricket batting and pitching cage has opened at Optimist Park, allowing players to practise and train.
The cage features an artificial turf pitch to allow consistent playing conditions. Funding for the project included $137,187 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.
In addition to the cricket cage, other improvements to the site included a new bench, a covered picnic table and perimeter landscaping.
