One of Perth’s largest purpose-built student accommodation developments has officially opened its doors, delivering much-needed housing for a growing student population during a housing crisis.
The new $200 million development will provide 916 student beds and was developed and built by WA-based Exal Group and operated by global student living provider Yugo.

Located adjacent to Curtin University and Canning College in Waterford, the development represents a significant investment in student housing and responds to growing demand for purpose-built accommodation.
Tertiary Education Minister Tony Buti said internation education was WA’s largest service export, contributing $3.7 billion to the state’s economy in 2024.
