A woman has shocked social media users by detailing a parent’s disgusting act on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Chicago.
The flyer took to Reddit this week to reveal that she thought she had “seen everything” on planes “until today”.
“I’ve seen parents changing diapers in a row, but today takes the cake,” she stated, before revealing the bizarre act she witnessed that left her flabbergasted.
“[I] watched a parent bring out a travel potty, place it on a seat, bare-ass their kid to the world, and then have them do their stuff,” she revealed, before adding: “ALL IN THE OPEN.”
The moment prompted the woman to adopt a pessimistic outlook on life.
“We’re all getting worse as a society,” she declared.
The exasperated traveller then spoke directly to the parent – and others who may be contemplating the act.
“Please. Don’t potty train your kids on planes,” she instructed.
The woman then added: “Why is it always the Miami flights?”
Social media users flooded the comments section of the post, with many telling the woman that she should have raised the issue with a flight attendant or customer service.
“That’s insane. What’s wrong with people? I would have flagged a flight attendant as soon as I saw that happening,” one person wrote.
“These are the things you need to elevate to customer service, with the flight number and seat,” another added.
An airline worker even took to the comments, writing: “As a [flight attendant] I’d like to be informed. At the very least it’s an opportunity to call out and report bad behaviour.”
Some people pointed out that some of the “craziest” stories often involve Miami, making the Reddit post not so surprising.
“You should have opened with the Miami part. I’ve seen the craziest things at MIA (Miami International Airport),” one person wrote.
Another added: “Miami… of course.”
