Following almost three months of no action, the Women’s Rugby World Cup is finally here. Starting on Aug. 22, 16 international teams will have the opportunity to take home the ultimate trophy. 

Canada Women’s Rugby enters the competition as the No. 2 ranked team in the world and has remained undefeated in 2025. The squad took wins over the USA and Australia and took a draw to New Zealand. 

Canada is set to have matchups against Fiji, Wales, and Scotland for the first round of the group stage as the beginning of their journey to their first World Cup finals victory.

The Women’s Rugby World Cup will begin on August 22 with the group stages and run through September 27 when a champion is crowned following finals.
