It’s been a long time since Rugby Canada’s Men’s and Women’s 15s Teams have had a unified front-of-jersey sponsor and this support from PICTON Investments marks an important moment for the organization’s culture towards embracing strategic innovation, challenging the status quo, and working to build a more resilient foundation for the future of the sport.

Rugby Canada announces landmark jersey sponsorship with PICTON Investments through 2027

June 30, 2026 (Langford, BC) — Rugby Canada is pleased to announce that Picton Mahoney Asset Management (“PICTON Investments”) has become the new front-of-jersey sponsor across Canada’s Men’s and Women’s Rugby Teams through 2027. The partnership represents an expansion of the relationship between Rugby Canada and PICTON Investments and will see an organization featured on the front of both national team jerseys for the first time in several years.

“Our partnership with Rugby Canada has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of, and we’re honoured to now serve as the front-of-jersey partner for both the Men’s and Women’s national teams,” said David Picton, President and CEO of PICTON Investments.

“This evolution reflects a shared commitment to performance, discipline, and continuous improvement – values that are deeply aligned with how we think about building long-term success. We’re excited to stand alongside Rugby Canada in this next chapter and to support a program that continues to elevate Canadian rugby on the international stage.”

“We are grateful that PICTON Investments has chosen to deepen their support as a partner that see things differently and appreciates the uniqueness of Rugby Canada in the sporting landscape. The collaborative nature of this partnership has already garnered more support behind our national teams,” said Nathan Bombrys, CEO of Rugby Canada. “We look forward to the continued collaboration with PICTON Investments in telling the story of how our players and our community continue to earn support across Canada.”

“This is what our One Squad philosophy is all about: making the shift from an individualized mindset to a unified team that benefits the organization’s entire ecosystem,” said Bombrys. “While this investment confirms our collaborative culture is a winning strategy; our work is far from done. This serves as a critical steppingstone toward securing the full funding and resources needed to put our best-equipped teams on the pitch this year.”

A Campaign Born from Canadian Grit

Earned Not Given, a national fundraising campaign co-created by Rugby Canada and PICTON Investments in April 2026, calls on Canadians, corporations, and businesses to get behind national rugby team players who compete at the highest level of international sport despite limited funding, infrastructure, and public recognition.

“Players from Canada’s National Teams come from different backgrounds from coast to coast. Their experiences, their hardships, and their successes will resonate with youth across the country,” said Jocelyn Barrieau, Head Coach of Canada’s Women’s Sevens Team. “Rugby is so unique in our values, in our community, and the opportunities it can provide, and that’s why Canadians should invest in this sport. It’s representative of the types of values Canadian’s hold like respect, integrity, and courage.”

Canadian sports fans will have an opportunity this July to see the new jerseys in action as Canada’s Men’s Rugby Team kicks off their World Rugby Nations Cup campaign in Edmonton and Winnipeg. Tickets are available for purchase at ticketmaster.ca. Matches will be available on TSN and TSN+.

SUPPORT RUGBY CANADA
Earned Not Given is a national campaign designed to shine a light on what Canadians don’t always see – Canada’s National Team players working full-time jobs, balancing education, constant fundraising, and training without the spotlight. Canadians, corporations, and businesses are invited to invest in that meaning — by supporting Rugby Canada’s high-performance programs, player development pathways, and grassroots growth across the country.
