With Mitchell Moses on Origin duty, off-season recruit Jonah Pezet will face Manly in his first game since round five, before the Dolphins put their winning streak on the line in Newcastle.

In the NRLW, the Tigers are dominating the Eels, before the Warriors host the Bulldogs in Waikato.

33′ Dylan Walker the third HIA for the day

He was down a couple minutes ago and the former Manly utility it off for a concussion check.

31′ Sea Eagles dudded

Lehi Hopoate appears to have won an aerial contest with Brian Kelly after a bobble, but referee Grant Atkins calls it a knock-on by Hopoate!

Both teams have lost their captain’s challenges, so they’ve got no choice but to cop the decision.

Manly punished after Faulalo’s error

Jonah Pezet’s bomb out wide is allowed to bounce and there’s some confusion between Brian Kelly and Clayton Faulalo, with the Manly centre inexplicably allowing the ball to hit him on the shoulder and nudging it into touch.

In the ensuing set, Ronald Volkman takes on the defence, steps inside Corey Waddell, slips through Kobe Hetherington’s desperate grab and dives in.

HALF-TIME: Warriors up early in Waikato

The Warriors lead the Bulldogs 10-0 in Waikato after the opening half of footy.

Five-eighth Gayle Broughton scored the opener in her first game for the Warriors since leaving Brisbane, and Emmanita Paki crossed as well in the opening stanza.

21′ Rocky start for both teams

Luke Lewis says on ABC Sport it “feels like every second set they’re dropping the ball”. And he’s talking about both teams.

First Ronald Volkman twists himself in knots before knocking on, and then Jake Trbojevic drops it while playing the ball after he puts the ball on the foot of a retreating Eels player.

And he challenges!

Of course it’s unsuccessful. Inexcusable from the Manly skipper.

17′ Clayton Faulalo returns

Wow. The Manly centre looked rocked after an early head clash with Brian Kelly, but he’s returning to the play after passing his HIA.

10′ Isaiah Iongi saves the day

Jamal Fogarty’s wobbling bomb is allowed to bounce and the Sea Eagles regather. The ball is flung out to Joey Walsh on the left, but he can’t find his outside men, so he steps inside and Isaiah Iongi recovers to hit him from behind and knock the ball loose.

9′ Another HIA

Parramatta back rower Kelma Tuilagi was left behind after a diving tackle attempt and he’s off for a concussion check too.

6′ Manly opens the scoring(Getty)

After Joey Walsh, Tom and Ben Trbojevic, and Lehi Hopoate break down the left and go within 15 metres of a stunning try, the Eels can’t get back on side and give away a penalty next to the posts.

Jamal Fogarty pots the goal for a 2-0 lead.

4′ Clayton Faulalo’s day could be done

The Manly centre is left sprawled on the turf after a powerful kick return by Brian Kelly.

He looks dazed, and the independent doctor steps in. He’s off for an HIA.

Yep, replays show a nasty head clash.

Ethan Bullemor comes on, so Ben Trbojevic will move from the back row to left centre. If Faulalo is ruled out, I imagine Josh Feledy will be activated off the bench.

1′ Sea Eagles kick off

And the Eels shift it left straight away, but only lose a metre as Jason Saab crushes Sean Russell.

Parramatta only makes 13 metres in its first set and Jonah Pezet launches his kick from inside the 20m.

Trbojevic comes out with the Sea Eagles

Manly fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

We’re all set for kick-off at Parramatta Stadium.

This is a real exercise in trust, because it would be very tempting to step out of this band and let your mate fall flat on his face.

Nervous scenes for Tom Trbojevic

Manly superstar fullback Tom Trbojevic has just wandered back into the locker room after a sprint effort while the rest of his team warms up.

The cameras show him taking off his boots in the sheds, but he might just be changing his in-soles.

I’ll let you know once we know more.

FULL-TIME: Tempers flare late as Tigers roll over Eels

The Tigers have weathered a second-half comeback attempt by the Eels to open their NRLW season with a 28-16 victory over Parramatta.

Raecene McGregor was the conductor this afternoon, finishing with three try assists in a dominant display.

It could have been four, but debutant Namoe Gesa had a try taken off her in the final seconds after a knock-on in the aerial contest.

The frustration was clear from the Eels late in the match, with Boss Kapua sin-binned for a nasty high shot on Emily Bass, and a dust-up started between Shenai Lendill and Rosemarie Beckett.

LATE MAIL: Jonah Pezet to play his first game since round five(Supplied: NRL.com)

After a high-profile, one-season recruitment in the off-season, Jonah Pezet’s time with Parramatta has been limited and frankly pretty ordinary.

He injured his hamstring in round five and since recovering has played three games in NSW Cup, with Ronald Volkman preferred alongside Mitchell Moses.

But, with Moses off in Blues camp, Pezet returns with a chance to stake his claim for a long-term revival ahead of his departure for Brisbane.

Manly is missing Tolu Koula, replaced at centre by Clayton Faulalo, and Haumole Olakau’atu, replaced in the back row by Corey Waddell. While young Joey Walsh joins Jamal Fogarty in the halves after Luke Brooks’s devastating knee injury.
