Taylor Swift’s friend ZoĆ« Kravitz has sampled some of The Life of a Showgirl and she offered her honest review of the album during an interview with Extra.
“Itās fantastic, of course. No skips,” Kravitz told the outlet. The actress was promoting Caught Stealing alongside Austin Butler, when she briefly discussed Swift’s highly anticipated 12th album.
In the music world, an album with “no skips” is one where a person enjoys every single song and doesn’t have to skip ahead to the next. When Extra’s Tommy DiDario said that having an album with “no skips” is rare, Kravitz replied, “for her, it’s not.”
Kravitz and Swift have been friends for about a decade, and have supported each other through thick and thin. And while Kravitz admitted that she’s only heard “bits” of the new album, she isn’t the only person who has said that all of the tracks are great.
On the New Heights podcast, Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce couldn’t stop hying up the new album, calling all 12 songs “bangers.”
Swift recorded the album during her off days while on the Eras Tour.
“I’d do like three shows in a row, I’d have three days off, I’d fly to Sweden, go back to the tour. I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating,” Swift said on New Heights.
“This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant,” Swift said elsewhere on the pod. “This is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time.”
