As the country welcomed in its 250th anniversary, a different celebration was just getting started at Madison Square Garden. In what many have already attributed as the wedding of the year, Taylor Swift finally tied the knot with Kansas City Chiefs icon Travis Kelce.
The two’s relationship was on full display over the last few years as the international music star made regular appearances at her boyfriend’s games. But as more details emerge from an extremely private ceremony, one NFL analyst isn’t too thrilled.

After Kelce’s initial fascination with Swift became apparent on the “New Heights” podcast, which he hosts alongside his brother, the couple grew from strength to strength. Over time, appearances together became the norm.
Whether it was the 14-time Grammy Award winner in the suite at Arrowhead, or Kelce appearing on stage during the “Eras” tour, their love knew no bounds. Swift was even on the ground during the Chiefs’ jubilation after Super Bowl 58, and could be seen consoling Kelce after their heartbreak the following season.
Finally, fans were treated to huge news last summer, as the two announced their engagement. Soon, details for the wedding began to emerge, including the surprising destination: MSG.
However, most other specifics were left up in the air, as the pair valued their privacy. For Skip Bayless, though, the privacy might be an attempt from Swift to maximize the investment from her rabid fan base.

Taking to X, he lamented, “No phones were allowed at the wedding. So no leaked video! Brilliant! Swifties must wait for the carefully edited and scripted movie! Ingenious!” Expanding on his point about the movie, the real crux of his vitriol for the wedding became clear.
In a second post, Bayless expanded, “Can’t wait for the theatrical release of the heavily edited, tightly scripted ‘behind-the-scenes’ wedding movie, soon followed by streaming drop. The 26 mil they just donated to charities will seem like chicken feed compared to movie profits. Blockbuster wedding! Bravo!”
The sarcasm from one of the oldest names in the sports media landscape was very clear. But given the popularity of her musical tour, which eventually became a movie that streamed on platforms, it might not be out of the ordinary for Swift to follow a similar model for the celebrations.

So far, fans have gotten very little revealed to them. Through leaks and reports, Adam Sandler’s role as the wedding officiant was made available, alongside the length of their vows and their getaway car.
But with the demand for more to be revealed so high, the possibility of the direction Bayless alluded to might not be completely out of reach.
