After putting on another boxing blockbuster on Saturday night, Jason Quigley has vowed to bring title fights to Donegal in the near future.
Quigley held a cracking six-fight card, Fight Night at the Valley 2, at the Finn Valley Centre.
It was a fourth card in Donegal staged by Quigley, who is leading the European arm of Sheer Sports Promotions, after two versions of ‘Rumble In The Hills’ at the Aura Leisure Complex in Letterkenny and the first Fight Night at the Valley in February.
Quigley will return his rapidly rising stable of prospects to Letterkenny this October.
Details on a date for the third edition of Rumble In The Hills are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
“We are going back to the Aura Complex in Letterkenny again,” Quigley confirmed to Donegal Daily.
“We’ll have the likes of Rhys Owens, Danny Duffy, Kian Hedderman, Daniel Fakoyede and Danny Duffy. We’ll have the whole stable in action for this one.
“We hope to have some eight-round fights, titles on the line, and domestic dust-ups. It’s going to be a great night and we’re really building the foundations.”

In front of a capacity crowd on Saturday in Stranorlar, the Raphoe Boxing Club-trained Duffy moved to 4-0.
Duffy defeated Mexican Lakshmy Zaragoza Contreras in the headliner. Duffy, in his first bill-topping bout, was always in control against a durable Contreras and claimed a 60-54 points win in a super-bantamweight clash.
Owens also moved to 4-0 with an impressive points win over Erick Omar Lopez in the co-main. ‘Lights Out’ was given the nod in each of the six rounds of their super-featherweight fight.
Former world middleweight title challenger Quigley said: “I believe so much in my fighters, and I believe that the levels that they have is massive. They can just continue to keep rising and rising – and that’s why I have no fears these guys stepping in.
“Rhys and Danny stepped in the six rounders – it was Rhys’s second six rounder – and they stepped up against tough, durable Mexican opponents. I did it with no fear because I believe so much in them.
“I know the level that they are and the level that they can get to and I’m just so delighted with them and their performances.
“It’s very important that we get these fighters the fights that they deserve, not just getting anybody for them to come in here and bang them out of there in a round. We have matched our fighters competitively to help build the fighter confidence, but also to help them to grow as well and to build their following.
“It is so vital, longevity-wise, and longer into their career, that they get in there, they get those hard rounds under their belt, they know that they can go past the four rounds, they know that they can go into six rounds, they know that if their opponent sticks it on them, that they can fight back and they still have it in their tank.
“When you’re in there, when it matters, when it counts, you go through those trenches, you pass those hurdles, that’s when you start to gain that confidence in yourself and start bringing your game to the next level.”
