The Telstra outage is affecting a number of Victoria Police’s mobile and landline services – but, “at this time, there is no evidence of any impact to frontline service delivery”, a spokesman said.
Fire Rescue Victoria has been warned of possible issues with their pagers, which would affect their senior command being able to respond.

However, they appear to be operational for now, with only some mobile phone issues.
Firefighters are still turning out fire trucks in Melbourne as usual, and in the regions, as are Country Fire Authority (CFA) vehicles and volunteers.
“Our primary paging and radio network remains fully operational,” a CFA spokeswoman said.
The State Emergency Service is also operational.
