The future stars of baseball will be on full display this weekend.
From the MLB Draft to the Futures Game, many of the game’s top prospects will either be finding out their new team or showcasing their skills on the field.
All the action will be live from Philadelphia, where All-Star festivities are taking place this year. Both events will air on NBC and Peacock for the first time.
Here’s a full preview of the 2026 MLB Draft and Futures Game:
When is the 2026 MLB Draft?
The 2026 MLB Draft will be held over two days — Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12.
The first four rounds will be on Saturday, followed by rounds five through 20 on Sunday.
Who are the top prospects in the 2026 MLB Draft?
As with most years, the MLB Draft has a collection of talented high school and college stars. From pitchers to position players, there are plenty of impact players up for grabs.
Here are the top 10 prospects, according to MLB Pipeline:
Grady Emerson, SS, Fort Worth Christian HS (Texas)
Roch Cholowsky, SS, UCLA
Vahn Lackey, C, Georgia Tech
Jackson Flora, RHP, UC Santa Barbara
Jacob Lombard, SS, Gulliver Prep (Florida)
Eric Booth Jr., OF, Oak Grove HS (Mississippi)
Drew Burress, OF, Georgia Tech
Gio Rojas, LHP, Stoneman Douglas HS (Florida)
Justin Lebron, SS, Alabama
Tyler Bell, SS, Kentucky
The UT-Austin commit is a projected top pick in next month’s MLB draft.
What is the 2026 MLB Draft order?
The Chicago White Sox hold the top pick after winning the draft lottery in December. On the other side, the Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees received a 10-pick penalty on their first picks for exceeding the second surcharge threshold of the Competitive Balance Tax. So, they technically drop out of the official first round.
Here’s the first-round order:
Tampa Bay Rays
Minnesota Twins
Pittsburgh Pirates
Kansas City Royals
Baltimore Orioles
Atlanta Braves
Colorado Rockies
St. Louis Cardinals
Arizona Diamondbacks
Houston Astros
Cincinnati Reds
Cleveland Guardians
Detroit Tigers
Seattle Mariners
Milwaukee Brewers
When is the MLB All-Star Futures Game?
The 2026 MLB All-Star Futures Game will be played on Sunday, July 12.
What are the rosters for the MLB Futures Game?
Fifty players were selected to the AL and NL rosters for the Futures Game, with 39 of those being on MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 Prospects list.
The NL roster is highlighted by baseball’s top prospect, Brewers shortstop Jesús Made. Nationals shortstop Eli Willits, last year’s No. 1 pick, will join him on the squad, along with last year’s Futures Game MVP Josue De Paula of the Dodgers.
The AL, meanwhile, is stacked with arms to counteract those NL bats. Mariners pitchers Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan, both top 10 prospects, will lead the staff. No. 2 prospect Leo De Vries of the Athletics and No. 7 prospect Franklin Arias of the Red Sox headline the AL lineup.
You can find the complete rosters here.
