The Sharks again kick off the round on home soil as they welcome premiers Brisbane to Ocean Protect Stadium.
After losing to the Knights in the season opener, the 2024 runners-up will need to subdue the Broncos’ all-star spine if they are to bounce back and open their 2026 account.
With new skipper Tamika Upton at the helm, the Broncos made the perfect start to their title defence with a 50-4 drubbing of the Cowboys and they arrive in the Shire brimming with confidence.

Sharks v Broncos at Ocean Protect Stadium
Half-time: The Broncos had 59 per cent of possession and completed 18 of 21 sets (85 per cent) while the Sharks could only manage 11 of 16 sets at 68 per cent. Upton led the way with two tries, 92 run metres and two tackle breaks. Shannon Mato made plenty of impact off the bench, running 85 metres with the ball, 44 of which were post contact. The Sharks came up with 16 missed tackles and six penalties in the first 35 minutes.
