Drake has such a spotty history of sports gambling that “The Drake Curse” is a talking point whenever he makes a big bet. The whole thing has gotten so well known that the rapper recently tried to use his anti-sauce to “reverse curse” Morocco in its World Cup game against Canada. He bet against his home country, throwing a single dollar on Morocco to win.
Alas, the gambling gods cannot be fooled by such a cheap ruse — Morocco handled Canada 3-0.
Now, Drake is back to his big money ways with a $1 million bet on Stake that McGregor will beat Holloway (again) in UFC 329’s Paramount+-streamed main event.
If he’s right, the bet will pay out $2.85 million, which ain’t too bad; however, we certainly wouldn’t be taking any McGregor action at +185. It’s a testament to “The Notorious” and his popularity that the odds are so close given the Mac’s inactivity and Holloway’s run over the past five years.
Don’t just blame a McGregor loss on the “Drake Curse,” is what we’re saying. But, even those suspicious enough to believe in such things should consider the counter-curse in play: EA’s UFC game cover curse.

The curse proved itself alive and well after Alex Pereira — on the cover of the new EA UFC 6 game — lost to Ciryl Gane at UFC Freedom 250 last month (watch highlights). So, is “Blessed” now cursed? Which curse is stronger, EA’s UFC cover curse or the Drake curse? We’ll have to see on Saturday when McGregor and Holloway finally face off in UFC 329’s main event.
