The 2026 Disappointment Bowl follow with the Bulldogs and Raiders, both of whom occupied top spot for large chunks of last season but sit well outside the finals this year.
And the day’s play wraps up with the third-placed Roosters hosting the Eels in Daniel Tupou’s 300th game.

Two streaks end for the Dolphins

As if a 66-0 loss wasn’t bad enough all on its own, the Dolphins also saw two impressive streaks end tonight.
The newest NRL side had never been held to nil in their first 88 games in the league, and obviously that came to an end in emphatic fashion.
And individually, Jamayne Isaako had score at least one point in every outing for the Phins. He went close a couple of times this afternoon, but couldn’t quite get on the board.

FULL-TIME: Four tries for Jaime Chapman as Titans roll Bulldogs
Two tries in the first half and two more in the second for Jaime Chapman as they thump the Bulldogs 36-10 at Homebush.
That’s a real statement game for the Gold Coast side after a disappointing start to their NRLW season against the red-hot Roosters last week.
Aside from Chapman’s quadruple, high-profile rugby sevens convert Teagan Levi crossed for her second try in as many league outings.

Dolphins hooker Jeremy Marshall-King is speaking to ABC Sport and is absolutely crestfallen …
“I’ve got no words. Pretty embarrassing to be at home [and play like that].
“The score just shows we weren’t here tonight. That’s not good enough.
“We know as a team what we can do and that just wasn’t good enough.”

FULL-TIME: The Sharks demolish the Dolphins 66-0!

It’s perfection by the Sharks and pathetic by the Dolphins in Redcliffe.
The Dolphins were missing some key members of their backline, but this performance is incredibly concerning for a side that was considered a premiership threat coming into the match.
The Sharks, meanwhile, had probably drifted out of the contender chat, and this puts them right back into that conversation.

One more for the road for Ramien!
Tom Hazelton and Cam McInnes break through the middle and on the back of it, Nicho Hynes hits Jesse Ramien with a bullet pass for the Sharks’ 11th try.
One last try for Cronulla and one more chance for Nicho Hynes for a shot at goal. He’s 10/10 so far.

Nicho Hynes just jogs over
This is a sorry performance by the Dolphins and it continues as Nicho Hynes goes to the line, throws a dummy and just runs between Jeremy Marshall-King and Kodi Nikorima to score.
His conversion makes it 10/10 for him today and takes Cronulla to 60-0.
The first 50 minutes or so was a huge credit to the Sharks, but at this point it’s just pathetic from the Dolphins.

Tom Hazelton takes the Sharks past 50
It’s another incredibly simple try, with Tom Hazelton catching Francis Molo napping and bumping him off as he grounds the ball under the posts.
Hynes will convert for 54-0.
As for the Dolphins, Billy Moore sums it up on ABC Sport.
“They’re embarrassed, and so they should be.”

The Dolphins’ right winger flies down the flank and is tracked down by Will Kennedy and Braydon Trindall, and the referee calls him for a knock-on. I can’t see it, but it’s been that sort of day for the boys in red.

Just so easy for the Sharks, throwing it out to the right and creating the extra man seemingly out of nothing as Sione Katoa leaps in to ground it one-handed for his second of the day.

62′ Jake Averillo dodges the sin-bin
The Sharks have the Dolphins dead to rights as Braydon Trindall pokes his nose through and tries to offload to Teig Wilton, who’s pulled back by Jake Averillo.
Todd Smith blows the penalty, but somehow it’s not called a professional foul or a penalty try.
Maybe he was saved by Trindall’s pass going forward.

Connelly Lemuelu is crushed in a three-man tackle and loses the ball.
He convinces the captain to challenge. Billy Burns did knock the ball out, but he was just removing his hand from the ruck. It’s not a strip, so again the Sharks go on the attack from 30 metres out.

Nicho Hynes is in and the bunker overturns the on-field call
As Billy Moore says “every set of six is nearly perfect football from Cronulla”, the bomb goes up and Ronaldo Mulitalo leaps over Trai Fuller to bat back for Nicho Hynes to swoop and score.
On-field referee Todd Smith says no try because he thinks Mulitalo knocked on, but the replays show a clear knock back and the try is awarded!

Two big charges by Sifa Talakai and Blayke Brailey puts the Sharks in the danger zone.

The Sharks are unstoppable
The Dolphins have found a bit of rhythm in attack but now look completely shot in defence as Addin Fonua-Blake threatens in the middle.
The Sharks spin it left and the defence goes to sleep as Braydon Trindall picks up brilliantly off his toes before finding Nicho Hynes, who double pumps and hits KL Iro short for a simple try.
Jake Averillo jammed in and Jamayne Isaako stayed out, and Iro just waltzed through.

HALF-TIME: Chapman with a brilliant double as Titans lead Dogs
The Gold Coast Titans lead the Bulldogs 16-0 at half-time in Sydney thanks in part to a scintillating pair of tries to Jaime Chapman.
She was joined on the scorers’ sheet by Evania Isa’ako, née Pelite, as she returns to the Titans’ side after a year off while pregnant.
The Titans are all over the Dogs, who are completing at just 68 per cent, while the Coasters have had 58 per cent of possession at Homebush.
