Titans coach Josh Hannay has let rip in his post match press conference, believing his side was on the wrong end of a couple of dubious calls in the Gold Coast’s heartbreaking 22-18 loss to the Storm.

Hannay was dejected and frustrated following the loss, believing there’s a common theme that has emerged.

“I’m gutted that they didn’t get the ultimate result but how can you not be proud of how they’re representing this club?” Hannay said.

“Sometimes you just don’t get the bounce or the rub of the green and sometimes, that’s all you need when you’re putting in that much effort.

“We had none of it tonight, which is often the case for some reason with this club, but yeah, I couldn’t be couldn’t be prouder.”

The Titans were pinged for a forward pass early in the first half which denied a certain try, but it was a decision just before half time that raised some eyebrows.

Storm centre Jack Howarth’s 32nd minute try was confirmed despite replays showing he may have committed a double movement.

That gave Melbourne a 12-6 lead at the break.

According to Fox League’s Michael Ennis and Bryan Fletcher, the Titans have every right to feel hard done by.

“That was a double movement,” Fletcher said with Ennis adding: “The scores should be locked up at half time.”

The usually measured Hannay couldn’t hide his disdain with the Bunker’s decision, making a stunning claim in how the Titans are officiated compared to other clubs.

“That Jayden Campbell pass to start the game. Not forward,” Hannay said.

“I expected it (the Howarth try) to go the way it went just because of who they are and who we are.”

“It’s (the frustration) is probably just an accumulation. It’s not just about tonight.

“If you’re way off (on the scoreboard), like if you’re getting beat by a lot, it’s really hard to look at other things, but when we’re in the fight so often, that’s where the frustration comes.”

Hannay was then asked if he would seek a please explain from the NRL

“The most pointless exercise in our game is talking to the officials during the week. It’s pointless. It just makes you more frustrated.

“So, what you hope is that when you take the field every week that you’re gonna get a fair crack, so we just keep taking the field hoping we get a fair crack.”
