The world’s most valuable artificial intelligence company, Anthropic, told Treasurer Jim Chalmers its $US15 billion ($21.6 billion) investment in Australia was contingent on clarifying local copyright laws.
Anthropic chief executive Dario Amodei met with Chalmers and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese when the AI giant launched in Australia in April, hosting a major symposium at Parliament House in Canberra to promote the company and its Claude AI model to key policymakers.
