Slovenian coach Aleksander Sekulic is set to lead FC Barcelona following the departure of Xavi Pascual. The club is undergoing a major roster overhaul, with core players like Tomas Satoransky and Willy Hernangomez leaving, while newcomers like Olivier Nkamhoua join the rebuilding squad.

Following a lengthy search after Xavi Pascual’s departure, FC Barcelona appear to have finally found their new head coach.

According to Marc del Rio of SPORT, Aleksander Sekulic is set to take over the head coaching position at Barcelona.

BasketNews sources have confirmed that the Slovenian tactician will lead the Catalan squad.

With reports indicating that Sekulic has already informed his inner circle of the move, an official announcement is expected within the coming days.

FC Barcelona is undergoing a massive roster overhaul. Core players such as Will Clyburn, Nicolas Laprovittola, Tomas Satoransky, and Willy Hernangomez have already departed.

Following EuroLeague legend Jan Vesely’s retirement announcement, the Catalan side is left with only six active players on the roster.

This includes guards Juan Nunez, Kevin Punter, and Dario Brizuela, as well as newcomer Olivier Nkamhoua and recently extended forward Joel Parra. Tornike Shengelia is also on the team; however, rumors suggest he may also be on his way out.

While Barca missed out on Moses Wright, who is headed to Armani Olimpia Milan, and Mike James, who joined Anadolu Efes Istanbul, they are still prepared to welcome EuroLeague standouts Justin Robinson and Josh Nebo.
