Cody Simpson’s recovery isn’t over just yet after sharing a major update to his vocal cord surgery journey.
The Baby Blue singer, 29, has been on vocal rest since discovering a “serious haemorrhage” on one of his vocal cords in May, just weeks after he returned to music.

He wasn’t sure at the time whether he would require an operation, but Simpson has revealed the surgery has gone ahead.
“Vocal surgery was a success,” Simpson shared in a candid update to his followers on Instagram.
“Starting my last month of silence and then I can start building back,” he wrote, adding that he hopes to see fans soon.
It’s been a long few months of recovery for Simpson who first shared news of his vocal cord injury back in May – and has been on and off vocal rest since.
It came just weeks after he made a triumphant return to music with two new singles, Baby Blue and When It Comes to Loving You.
The swimming champion and returned singer said the injury occurred “due to [his] overzealousness in the studio singing through a sinus infection” he “didn’t know” he had.
“I assumed it was just fatigue and kept showing up to the studio until one day I could no longer sing properly,” he revealed at the time.

Simpson added that his injury has impacted his ability to complete his upcoming album and polish up his latest singles.
On May 19, Simpson revealed the haemorrhage was now gone, but he was not out of the woods, as there was a “big damaged blood vessel on the underside of my right vocal cord”.
Just two weeks ago, Simpson was hit with another health blow after dislocating his knee while rehearsing for a music video.

The injury left the singer in crutches, on top of being on and off vocal rest for close to three months.
“The universe is serving it to me this year!” he said at the time.
